St. Cloud State University is establishing itself as a regional leader in responsible AI integration, creating pathways for students, faculty, and community members to engage with artificial intelligence in ways that promote equity, accessibility, and academic excellence.

Spring 2024
Community Engagement Launch
Presented AI initiatives to Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation. Participated in Bremer AI Learning Session and Applied AI Conference in St. Paul.
Fall 2024
AAC&U AI Institute & Academic Programs
Launched participation in inaugural AAC&U AI Institute. Introduced Honors College courses: "AI Ethics" and "Robocops and Digital Detectives." Started weekly Interdisciplinary AI Workshop Series at Huskies Innovation Hub.

Research & Assessment
Conducted comprehensive AI Utilization Survey through Center for Teaching and Learning. Multiple faculty participated in Minnesota Learning Commons and Summit on AI with District 742.
Spring 2025
Program Formalization & Innovation
Finalized AI Minor in Computing, Informatics & Data Science. Launched "AI for Everyone" course. Conducted hands-on AI faculty sessions. Art class collaboration created LoRA in AI Visualization Lab.

Showcase & Community Impact
Hosted inaugural AI Innovation Day featuring student projects and faculty profiles. College of Liberal Arts AI Showcase. Presentations to Big Brothers Big Sisters and MathCounts.
